Orthopedics and traumatology

The clinic performs all orthopedic procedures, from nail fracture to bone deformities. Orthopedic and X-ray examinations are also performed at the clinic.

Pet mobility problems are those that can limit the animal’s ability to enjoy everyday life, so if even short-term and hardly noticeable lameness occurs, it is important to see specialists and solve the problems that have arisen, otherwise it can cause irreversible changes.

The most common orthopedic problems in small breed animals:

  • Traumatic bone fractures
  • Medial dislocation of the patella
  • Cranial cruciate ligament rupture
  • Bone deformation

The most common orthopedic problems in large breed dogs:

  • Cranial cruciate ligament rupture
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Dysplastic changes of the elbow joint
  • Osteochondritis of the shoulder joint

We are one of two clinics in Lithuania that treats cranial cruciate ligament rupture by straightening the tibial articular surface (TPLO), thereby eliminating the main cause of ligament rupture (overload).
