Preparation for surgery and post-operative care
- The animal must not be fed for 12 hours before the operation.
- It is recommended to perform blood tests before the operation in order to assess the pet’s health condition.
- Anesthesia plans are selected individually for the pet, depending on age, health condition and the planned surgical intervention.
- After the operation, an e-collar or protective clothing is usually required.
- Sutures are removed after 10 days.
